Factory Operative

The Best Connection are currently working with our client based in Washington. They now require a Factory Operative to join their busy team.

Duties will include:

- Manufacturing a range of furniture for use in high security, custodial establishments therefore a Basic DBS is required to be undertaken prior to starting.

The role:

- Measure, cut, shape and assemble wood and other materials

- Using machines and hand tools.

- Installation work in local sites. As they carry out installation at various locations in the UK there may be a requirement to work away from home as well as in the North East

- May involve heavy lifting

- Travel to site is paid

- Hotel accommodation provided

- -25 sustenance allowance as well as any other out of pocket expenses reimbursed

Experience:

- CSCS card

- Driving licence is essential

- Joinery (NVQ or 1 years experience)

- CSCS card

Hours of work:

- Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4.00pm

- Friday 6.30am - 3.00pm

Rate of Pay:

- Basic -14.00 - -15.75 per hour depending upon experience.

The roles have immediate start dates and will be ongoing temporary positions with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidates.
