Factory Operative Nights

A great opportunity has arisen with one of our long-standing engineering clients for a permanent Factory Operative to join their Casting department in the Medway area, initially on a temporary basis with an opportunity for a permanent role.

Training will take place on the day shift-Monday-Thursday 06:00-16:30; Friday 06:00-14:30 with a pay rate of -13.94 per hour during training. After successful completion, the job will transfer to nights, Monday-Thursday 18.00-06.00, with an hourly rate of -15.80 per hour.

Previous factory or manufacturing experience is required, but full training will be provided.

You will support the safe and efficient running of the Casting department, carrying out a range of production duties, including:

• Operating and loading/unloading robots
• Carrying out hand dipping
• Mixing and testing slurry
• Operating the boilerclave
• Processing components in line with work instructions
• Completing production records and job cards
• Carrying out quality checks
• Following health & safety procedures and using PPE correctly
• Carrying out manual handling duties safely

• Comfortable with manual handling
• Willing to learn and complete relevant training
