Factory Labourer

Factory Laborer KES Solutions are recruiting for a Factory Laborer to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Birtley. This is a hands-on role working both indoors and outdoors within a busy manufacturing environment. Due to the nature of the position, you must be comfortable working in all weather conditions and carrying out physical duties throughout the shift. The shift pattern is 4 on 4 off which means working 2 x 12 hour days 6.00am-6.00pm, 2 x 12 hour nights 6.00pm-6.00am and then 4 shifts off. Duties will include: Cleaning production containers using industrial cleaning products Using industrial solvents safely and correctly Manual handling of materials and equipment Working independently and as part of a team Moving materials around the site using a forklift truck (where authorised) Assisting other departments as required Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe Following all health and safety procedures The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience in a manufacturing, factory or labouring environment is preferred Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Reliable with a good work ethic Able to work independently and as part of a team A valid Forklift Truck licence would be advantageous but is not essential If you are looking for a varied factory role with a growing manufacturing business, we''d like to hear from you.
