Woking Borough Council

are seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities Manager to lead our facilities team in delivering high-quality hard and soft services across our estate. This is a key leadership role within the Property Services Team with responsibility for ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement in all aspects of facilities management.Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary facilities team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and service excellence.Oversee the delivery of hard services (e.g., MandE, building fabric, compliance) and soft services (e.g., cleaning, security, waste management, CCTV monitoring).Manage and optimise

energy usage , driving sustainability initiatives and identifying cost-saving opportunities.Ensure the effective operation and maintenance of CCTV and security systems.Develop and manage budgets, contracts, and service level agreements with external suppliers and contractors.Monitor performance against KPIs and ensure compliance with health and safety, statutory, and environmental regulations.About You

Proven experience in facilities management, in a team leadership role.Strong knowledge of both hard and soft FM services.Experience in energy management and sustainability practices.Familiarity with CCTV systems, access control, and security protocols.Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.Relevant qualifications (e.g, IWFM) is essential.Why Join Us?
