We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Facilities Manager / Health and Safety Manager with HandS and facilities management experience.Working as the Facilities Manager / Health and Safety Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance and security of the Organisations physical infrastructure whilst ensuring compliance, minimising risk, and driving a culture of continuous improvement.As the Facilities Manager / Health and Safety Manager you will be a champion of Health and Safety initiatives, you will ensure full adherence to legislation, lead audits, and provide expert guidance to managers and teams.Responsibilities

Auditing and Compliance: Oversee and quality assure risk assessments, audits, and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance and best practiceFacilities Oversight: Manage regular facilities and health and safety activities, including inspections, repairs, and contractor managementSafety Guidance: Advise on all health and safety matters, keeping the organisation and stakeholders informed of legislative changesStrategic Planning: Lead on business continuity and disaster recovery planningSafety Culture: Champion a robust health and safety culture across the organisation\''s estatePolicy Development: Review, plan, and develop all health and safety policies, procedures, and practices in collaboration with leadershipSystems Management: Implement and maintain comprehensive health and safety management systemsStaff Support: Advise, monitor, and support staff at all levels to promote safety-conscious practicesTraining and Development: Design and deliver health and safety training programmesAccident Investigation: Investigate serious accidents, incidents, and near misses, and advise on corrective actionsReporting: Prepare and present statistical records and data analyses for stakeholdersStatutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other relevant legislation through a system of audits and inspectionsRIDDOR Reporting: Oversee the timely completion and submission of RIDDOR reportsClaims Management: Manage personal injury claims, ensuring all relevant information is collated promptlyLegislation Monitoring: Track changes in legislation and provide advice on future planning requirementsCandidate Requirements

NEBOSH Certificate or DiplomaMembership of professional body, IOSH, IEMA, etcPrevious experience in a Health and Safety roleExperience of accident investigation and reportingRisk Assessment experienceDesigning and implementing Health and Safety and Environmental policies and proceduresStrong communication and influencing skillsProven organisational and interpersonal skillsAbility to interpret Health and Safety and Environmental legislation into practical working arrangementsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Assertive abilities with the ability to work on own initiativeFlexible and adaptableFlexibility to travel across multiple nationwide sites when requiredAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with good listening skillsAbility to exercise authority and reinforce boundaries in an appropriate mannerTo work on own initiative and able to cope with stressful situationsAdditional Information
