Facilities Engineer

Our client is seeking a hands-on Site Facilities Engineer to join their team in Cramlington. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of all site facilities, utilities, and infrastructure, supporting business continuity and operational excellence. This position will suit a practical, electrically qualified engineer who enjoys being on the tools, while also taking ownership of compliance, contractor management, and continuous improvement. What you ll be doing Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on site facilities and utilities, including compressors, boilers, chillers, HVAC, and building services Responding to breakdowns effectively, prioritising tasks to minimise downtime Ensuring all statutory inspections and preventive maintenance activities are completed on schedule and fully documented Taking responsibility for health, safety, and environmental compliance, working in line with legislation and company procedures Managing on-site contractors, including inductions, permits to work, and safe systems of work Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers for parts, repairs, and technical support Identifying and delivering energy-saving and efficiency improvement projects Maintaining accurate and compliant maintenance records and documentation Continuously reviewing and optimising preventive maintenance strategies Who we re looking for Strong experience working with site facilities, utilities, and ..... full job details .....
