Are you a practical, hands-on person who enjoys keeping a site running smoothly?
We''re working with an established manufacturing business in High Wycombe that is looking for a Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator to take ownership of the day-to-day upkeep of its site and the management of equipment servicing.
This is a varied role combining hands-on maintenance, equipment servicing, contractor coordination and health & safety support. You''ll be responsible for making sure issues are identified, dealt with and properly recorded.
The Role
You''ll help keep the site safe, functional and well maintained, while coordinating external contractors and ensuring machinery servicing and inspections are kept up to date.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out general building maintenance and minor repairs
- Door, lock, painting, basic carpentry and plumbing repairs
- Conducting routine checks around the site
- Identifying maintenance issues and arranging specialist support where required
- Maintaining accurate service and maintenance records for machinery and equipment
- Tracking servicing, inspections and statutory checks
- Coordinating planned maintenance activities
- Arranging and managing external contractors and suppliers
- Obtaining quotations and scheduling maintenance work
- Supervising contractors while they are working on site
- Supporting health & safety activities, including risk assessments and hazard reporting
- Ensuring maintenance and contractor work is carried out safely and with minimal disruption to production
We''re looking for someone who is practical, organised and proactive, ideally with experience working in a manufacturing, industrial or similar environment.
You could come from a background in Facilities, Maintenance, Site Management, Engineering Maintenance or Building Maintenance.
You''ll ideally have:
- Previous experience in facilities, site or maintenance work
- Practical maintenance skills including basic plumbing, carpentry and painting
- Experience coordinating contractors or external service providers
- Strong organisational and administration skills
- Good attention to detail when maintaining records and documentation
- The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
- A proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving
- Good communication skills
An IOSH qualification or similar would also be beneficial, although this is not essential.
