engineering services to our customers, including but not limited to:

Develop Fire Risk Appraisal Reports to PAS 9980Prepare assessment reports for new and existing external wall systemsProvide advisory support and carry out site visitsPrepare other technical engineering analysis for alternative design and installation methods related the façade fire safety design etc…Third party reviews and design verificationDevelop façade strategies, design and associated mark-ups for various buildings and infrastructure projects

Have a clear understanding of fire safety issues and provide well supported fire engineered solutions through the selection of appropriate methods and toolsBe familiar with relevant legislation and design guidance such as Approved Document B (ADB), BS 9999, BS 9991, BB100, HTM documents, and BS 7974 etc.Be familiar with relevant legislation and standards related the external wall systems such as PAS 9980, BS 8414, BR135, BS 8579, BS EN 13501-1 etc.Be familiar with the different fire stopping systems and cavity barriers, including their design specifications and installation requirements.Help identify new work opportunities with clients and other professionals, engage actively with potential clients and prepare / review fee proposal letters and tendersSupport management of projects and be responsible for the associated invoicingEnsure that records are maintained to determine that the company’s Quality Procedures, service levels and contractual requirements are being metMaintain and manage strong client relationships and identify business development opportunitiesContribute to the development of the company so as to enhance its reputation by attending or organising conferences, panels, seminars, CPD sessionsHere at SOCOTEC, we deliver excellence to our customers by recruiting and retaining the very best industry talent.
