Façade DesignerLocation: Manchester / Greater ManchesterSalary: £40,000 £55,000 DOEJob Type: PermanentThe OpportunityWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Façade Designer to join the Building Envelope team of a well-established specialist contractor operating across the UK.This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded designer to join a growing business delivering new-build and façade remediation projects, working across a diverse range of building envelope systems and materials.The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, surveyors, suppliers and other technical stakeholders to develop detailed, buildable and compliant façade solutions from concept through to construction.The RoleAs a Façade Designer, you will be responsible for producing detailed technical designs and drawings for a range of façade and building envelope systems.Key responsibilities will include:Producing detailed 2D and 3D façade drawings using CAD software.Developing technical and construction drawings from concept through to installation.Designing and detailing rainscreen cladding, SFS and external wall systems.Producing elevations, sections, details, setting-out drawings and fabrication information.Working closely with engineers and project teams to develop technically viable solutions.Reviewing architectural and structural information and identifying potential design issues.Liaising with manufacturers, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure designs ..... full job details .....
