Fabricator/welder

Our client is a leading specialist in the fabrication and installation of structural and architectural metalwork and is currently looking to recruit an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join their growing team.This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder/fabricator to work on a variety of projects including staircases, balustrades, roof access systems, structural steelwork and secondary steelwork.Key ResponsibilitiesManufacture and fabricate a wide range of steelwork and metalwork productsRead and interpret detailed fabrication drawings and weld specifications Set up, tack and weld components to tight tolerancesPerform TIG, MIG and MMA welding on mild steel, aluminium and stainless steelCarry out final inspections and ensure high-quality cosmetic finishes.Operate fabrication machinery and workshop equipment safely and efficientlyAssist in maintaining high standards of health and safety throughout the workshopSupport and mentor apprentices where required To be successful in this role you will have:Previous experience as a Fabricator/Welder within a manufacturing or fabrication environmentExperience working with mild steel, aluminium and stainless steelStrong TIG, MIG and MMA welding skillsThe ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbolsA strong understanding of fabrication processes and setup techniquesExcellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipStrong awareness of health and safety proceduresSVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in ..... full job details .....
