Job Title: Metal Fabricator Location: West MidlandsEmployment Type: Full†time, PermanentSalary: £31,200 - £35,360 (dependent on experience)Hours: Monday Friday, 7:30am 4:00pm (40 hours per week) occasional overtimeAbout the RoleA well†established engineering and manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator to join its growing team. This is a hands†on role working on bespoke, heavy†engineering projects, producing high†quality fabricated structures and equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret detailed metal fabrication and engineering drawingsWork with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminiumCarry out fabrication tasks including cutting, forming and tack weldingMIG welding to a good standard (advantageous)Operate workshop machinery such as guillotines, brake presses and overhead cranesInspect workpieces and report any non†conforming materialComplete fabrication tasks within set timescales and specificationMaintain high standards of housekeeping and follow all health and safety proceduresComplete required paperwork and support additional tasks as neededSkills and Experience RequiredProven experience in metal fabrication (mild steel, stainless steel; aluminium beneficial)Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbolsExperience with MIG weldingStrong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a teamGood verbal communication skillsComfortable with physically demanding work involving lifting, ..... full job details .....
