The role involves developing and manufacturing detailed parts from sheet metal to aviation standards within a workshop or hangar, assembling components, and working closely with the design team on prototype work. Carry out detailed inspections of subcontractor manufactured parts to ensure compliance with engineering drawings. Carrying out repairs to in service helicopters using sheet metal and composite techniques.
