Fabricator / Fitter Technician

Description/Overall purpose of the JobSheet Metal Fabricator/Fitter role is to contribute to the delivery of bespoke, high-quality helicopter solutions through complex prototype development, retrofit, and series production. The role involves developing and manufacturing detailed parts from sheet metal to aviation standards within a workshop or hangar, assembling components, and working closely with the design team on prototype work.Carry out detailed inspections of subcontractor manufactured parts to ensure compliance with engineering drawings. Carrying out repairs to in service helicopters using sheet metal and composite techniques. With the overall output to maintain the safety and airworthiness of helicopters within the customisation and MRO departmentsKnowledge and Skills - Essential- Ability to work as part of a team, and on own initiative, as well as to high standards in order to ensure the continued safe operation of the aircraft.- Be able to read and understand detailed engineering drawings and associated data- Interest in DIY- Good manual hand skills- Able to work in confined spaces- Good communication skills- Reliable with ability to remain calm when under pressure- Well organised and methodical with a high attention to detail- Able to adhere to the requirements of HandS to wear the appropriate PPE for each task- Ability to use Google and MS ..... full job details .....
