Fabrication/Machine Shop Supervisor

A1 Jobs have an immediate need for a Fabrication/Machine Shop Supervisor to join our clients thriving team. Key Responsibilities: Lead and motivate a skilled team of welders and machine operators. Operate and specialise in conventional horizontal boring (e.g. SH75 Kerns Richard). Use a variety of machine tools: lathe, milling machine, drill, etc. Interpret mechanical drawings and work to precise engineering tolerances. Carry out self-inspection throughout the manufacturing process. Promote safe working practices and maintain clean, organised work areas. Contribute to continuous improvement and help implement standard procedures. Essential Requirements: Proven experience as a machine operator with supervisory responsibilities. Skilled in horizontal boring and confident in reading technical drawings. Positive, team-focused attitude, promoting collaboration and quality. Strong work ethic with a focus on safety and performance. Desirable Skills: Experience operating a Kerns Richard SH75 or similar boring machine. Valid counterbalance forklift licence. Experience using overhead cranes for loading/unloading. Familiar with machine shop safety standards and procedures. ..... full job details .....
