Fabric Technician/Handyperson - Burgess Hill

My client is seeking a reliable and skilled Handyperson/Fabric Technician to join a team based in Burgess Hill on a 3-month contract.

The role involves carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), as well as reactive and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep and functionality of fabric and building elements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for general maintenance duties, repairs, and supporting the fabric management of the site, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with health and safety regulations.


Skills:
Experience in planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
Reactive and preventative maintenance expertise
General handyman and fabric maintenance skills
Ability to diagnose and repair building fabric issues
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
Good organisational and time management skills
Health and safety awareness and compliance
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Effective communication skills
Flexibility and reliability


Software/Tools:
Basic maintenance tools and equipment
Mobile communication devices (if applicable)
Certifications & Standards:
Relevant health and safety training (e.g. CSCS or equivalent desirable)
Valid right to work in the UK
Any relevant trade or maintenance qualifications (desirable but not essential)



This role offers a pay rate of £20 per hour via umbrella or £15 per hour PAYE.


Previous maintenance experience in a commercial building is essential.
