Fabric Engineer

Fabric Engineer Location: Birmingham Salary: 35,000 per annum Hours: 40 hours per week Employment: Full-time Environment: Healthcare The Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabric Engineer to join a busy healthcare environment in Birmingham. You will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of the building fabric, ensuring the site remains safe, secure, compliant and well maintained. The role covers a broad range of fabric systems and will suit an experienced maintenance professional with strong practical and diagnostic skills. You will work as part of a wider facilities and engineering team, responding to reactive issues while also completing planned preventative maintenance across the site. Key Responsibilities - Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across the building fabric. - Respond to reactive maintenance requests, carrying out effective fault finding, diagnosis and repairs. - Maintain and repair fire doors and passive fire protection systems. - Undertake maintenance and repairs to drainage systems. - Inspect and maintain cladding and roof systems. - Carry out general joinery repairs and other fabric maintenance activities. - Ensure all works are completed in accordance with relevant legislation, standards and safe working procedures. - Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance activities. - Develop Competent Person status through relevant training and instruction, including areas such as ..... full job details .....
