Fabric-Maintenance Technician

Salary:-Up to--41,200-depending on experience, plus overtime and-call-out payments

Hours:-40-hours per week

The Role

We are seeking-an experienced-Fabric Maintenance Technician-to join a-professional facilities-maintenance team. This-is an excellent-opportunity to work-within a fast-paced commercial environment, carrying-out both planned-preventative maintenance-(PPM) and reactive-fabric repairs to-ensure buildings are-maintained to a-high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned-preventative maintenance-(PPM) and reactive-fabric maintenance across-the site
  • Complete-a range of-building fabric tasks-including carpentry, painting-and decorating, basic-plumbing,-patch repairs and-flooring maintenance
  • Support the wider-engineering team with-maintenance activities-when required
  • Ensure all work-is-carried out in-line with Health-& Safety legislation and-company procedures
  • Respond promptly to-maintenance requests and-operational requirements
  • Accurately record completed-work using the-CAFM system or-maintenance job sheets
  • Identify defects, recommend-repairs-and suggest improvements-where appropriate
  • Contribute to delivering-a high standard-of facilities-maintenance and customer-service

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in-a building services-or fabric maintenance-role
  • Good all-round-knowledge of building-fabric repairs and-planned maintenance
  • Experience-working within commercial, retail or similar-environments is desirable
  • Sound understanding of-Health & Safety legislation-and safe working-practices
  • Ability to work-independently as well-as part of-a team
  • Strong-communication and customer-service skills
  • Flexible approach with-a willingness to-support out-of-hours work and-call-outs when-required

Desirable

  • Relevant qualifications-in carpentry, joinery-or building maintenance
  • Experience working within-large, busy or-public-facing environments
  • Familiarity with CAFM-systems
