Are you passionate about supporting young learners with diverse needs? Prospero Teaching are looking for dedicated EYFS Tutors to join our growing team in Fareham and nearby areas.
We provide bespoke tuition for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, focusing on sensory engagement and communication development. Sessions are typically between 2 to 15 hours per week per child, delivered in 2-3 hour blocks per day.
We''re looking for tutors with experience in:
- The Sensory Curriculum
- PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System)
- Makaton signing
- Using emotion cards and other visual supports
- Supporting children with complex communication needs
About you:
- A strong understanding of EYFS and child development
- Experience working with children with SEND
- Patience, creativity, and a nurturing approach
- Flexibility to work across Fareham and surrounding areas
As an EYFS Tutor you will:
- Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition sessions tailored to each child''s individual needs and learning style
- Use a range of communication supports including PECS, Makaton, and emotion cards to enhance understanding and expression
- Implement and adapt the Sensory Curriculum to create engaging, multi-sensory learning experiences
- Support emotional regulation and social development through structured activities and visual aids
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure consistency and progress
- Maintain accurate session records and contribute to progress review
- Commit to flexible hours, typically between 2-15 hours per week per child, delivered in 2-3 hour blocks

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of UK school experience
- Proven experience supporting learners with additional needs
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Relevant teaching or tutoring qualifications (desirable but not essential)
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
