About the Role:
- Support the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum through a balance of engaging, play-based, and structured activities
- Foster a nurturing and positive environment that promotes independence, curiosity, and self-confidence
- Encourage early development in literacy, numeracy, and communication through interactive and hands-on learning experiences
- Provide emotional and pastoral support to ensure children feel safe, valued, and ready to learn
- Work in partnership with parents, carers, and colleagues to support the individual needs and progress of each child
- Take an active role in EYFS events and contribute positively to the wider school community
The ideal candidate will:
- Previous experience working within an EYFS setting, such as nursery or reception
- Ideally holds a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare
- Demonstrates a patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach when supporting young children
- Solid understanding of child development, safeguarding procedures, and inclusive educational practices
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and stay well-organised
- A genuine enthusiasm for early years education and a creative approach to learning
