Academics Ltd is currently recruiting experienced EYFS Teaching Assistants to join our growing team, supporting local schools across Stoke-on-Trent (ST4) with long-term roles starting this term.

About the Role:

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting young children at the beginning of their learning journey. Working closely with the class teacher, you will help to create a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment that promotes the development of early literacy, numeracy, and social skills. These roles are ideal for individuals who thrive in a creative, play-based learning setting.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum
• Assisting with classroom activities and early learning tasks
• Providing individual or small group support where needed
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Supporting children with additional needs or EHCPs
• Helping maintains a safe and engaging learning environment
• Observing and reporting on pupil progress to teaching staff

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in an EYFS or Early Years setting (school or nursery)
• A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) is desirable
• A genuine passion for working with young children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, caring, and patient approach
• A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
