Extrusion  Supervisor – Cleanroom Operations

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7:00am – 5:00pm (4-day working week)
Salary- up to £35k DOE

We are seeking an experienced Extrusion Supervisor to oversee cleanroom operations for a leading pharmaceutical company. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong analytical ability, IT proficiency, and a commitment to driving efficiency and quality within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate assembly activities across the Platinum 1, Platinum 2, and Braid Rooms, ensuring compliance with GMP and Cleanroom ISO 7 standards.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of assembly operatives, providing clear guidance and effective performance management.
  • Drive productivity in line with SQDC and OEE targets, ensuring actions are completed within agreed timelines.
  • Conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and promote continuous improvement, including 5S principles and Go Gemba audits
  • Ensure the Extrusion man plan is completed daily, and ERP/Shop Trak transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Liaise with Final Operations to maintain correct product flow, ensuring customer orders are completed on time and in full (OTIF).
  • Monitor production schedules, maintaining high quality and compliance standards.
  • Keep accurate records of production, inspections, and regulatory documentation.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues to minimise downtime and maintain seamless operations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and regulatory requirements at all times.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Assembly Supervisor or Team Leader within a cleanroom or regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Analytical and process-driven, with a track record of implementing improvements.
  • Confident IT user with experience of digital production systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office.
  • In-depth understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and cleanroom protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
