Extrusion Setter

Role: Extrusion Setter

Location: Coventry

Duration: 12 months

Rate: -21.72/hour PAYE

Purpose

To inspect a variety of product within the Thermal Value Stream to confirm conformance and control any non-conformance through relevant procedure.

Key responsibilities

• Setting and operating Hydraulic presses for extrusion and part pierce
• Setting and operating Heat treatment furnaces
• End of shift clean down and adherence to 5S standard
• Raising of Safety Concerns where identified (including Product Safety Concerns)

Key Requirements

• Apprentice engineering or relevant experience.
• An engineering apprenticeship is desirable, although training will be given.
• 1 year''s similar experience in an engineering manufacturing facility.
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
• Ability to operate various inspection and test equipment.
• Good computer skills are desirable, as is a knowledge of the computer systems used (SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Q-Pulse etc).
• Demonstrable ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Good oral and written communication skills are required.
