Export Supervisor

Our client is currently looking for a new member of staff to join their Ocean freight department. The company are part of a larger group and have office throughout the UK. The company offers door to door logistics solutions via Air, Road and Sea freight within specialised commodities. They are currently expanding and looking for an Export Supervisor for their office based in East London. The role would ideally suit someone who can offer good freight forwarding ocean freight export experience and looking for the next step up into a supervisor role.Purpose of the role:Ultimately to manage a small team of approx. 5 members of operational staff within the ocean freight export side of the business. You will show initiation within your role and be able to implement processes and procedures in place to enable growth within the company. Your will liaise closely with the commercial director for the department to be able to provide growth. You will be expected to embark on a period of process improvement and efficiency implementation by strengthening and improving the Operational aspects of the team which will enable the Commercial team members to expand the customer base, and progress into new commodities.
