This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of goods internationally, minimising the risk of delays to import/export shipments, and maintaining accurate proof of export/import in line with HMRC requirements.Day-to-day of the role:Process export/import shipments, including confirming tracking numbers, vessel/flight details, and issuing final customs documents to customers and clearing agents.Arrange customs clearance where necessary and confirm final packing details for customer collections.Liaise with suppliers for pre-shipment advice and document checks.Proactively advise customers on shipment issues and liaise with them on underweight shipments to determine further actions.Identify and check commodity codes for accuracy and enter completed shipments into the Shipping database.Issue necessary supporting documents such as shipping instructions, clearance instructions, packing lists, and certificates/declarations of origin.Handle the processing of non-sales shipments for other departments and...
