Export Control Manager

An exciting opportunity to join a world class manufacturer and make your mark by to ensure international trade compliance across the company with all applicable export controls and international trade rule whilst supporting the company’s business objectives.
The client is in the design, development and manufacture of high temperature metallic sealing rings, retaining rings and brush seals for use in defence, aerospace, IT and other technical industries.
Export Control Manager to:
- Strengthen the company's export and international trade compliance
- Oversee and manage all aspects of export control and international trade compliance for our client across three sites,
- Provide training to staff and raising awareness and the importance of the function across all departments.
The client is a trusted supplier to large global customers in a variety of industries, including aerospace, defence, automotive and power generation among others.
Responsibilities:
- All company regulatory Compliance, licensing & documentation, shipping and supporting internal teams with all import and export functions,
- Goods classification, technology and software under UK/US export controls
- Contact with all regulatory bodies as well as those providing export compliance training for all employees and stakeholders.
- Responsible for three local sites.

Qualifications & experience:
- The Export Control Manager have proven experience (8+ years) in export compliance in a regulated industry
- Recent experience of working within a manufacturing firm subject to export trade controls and compliance, such as aerospace, defence, technology or technical manufacturing industries.
- An indepth knowledge of UK and US export controls, Incoterms(2020)
- Experience of working with ECJU and UK Spire and LITE licensing systems. This list is not exhaustive. More detail is provided in the job description, available on application.
Qualifications:
In additional to solid relevant experience within the manufacturing sectors above, the successful Export Control Manager will have a relevant qualification as well as professional certification from the Institute of Export & International Trade, CUSECO, or similar.
Package:
The role of Export Control Manager is a full time, permanent post covering 3 sites. It is office based with flexibility to work from home 1 day a week after a successful probationary period. The role is based in Bath with travel to Devises.
