Job Description:Position SummaryGuggenheim Securities (“GS”) is seeking an exceptional, experienced Vice President to join its European Technology and Services Investment Banking group located in London.VPs will join a highly collaborative team responsible for providing MandA advisory and capital raising (equity and fixed income) service and capabilities to corporate clients. GS offers a unique opportunity to work as part of small client teams on major strategic and financing assignments, providing meaningful exposure to senior bankers and client representatives.In a client services business like ours, our team members are the product, the service, and the offering. We will provide best-in-class Investment Banking training—formal and hands-on—as you continue to develop your professional toolkit: MandA process management, business acumen, financial analysis, data analysis, soft-selling and presentation skills, professional communication (verbal, written and virtual), negotiations, and more.Candidates should be top performers who are willing to work hard in a dynamic environment where initiative, creativity, maturity, and enthusiasm for learning are highly valued.Essential Job FunctionsLead day-to-day project management and oversee execution on a range of advisory and financing transactionsDrive long-term client relationship development through effective dialogue with client leadership teamsDevelop and oversee financial and accounting analyses and help identify, research, and analyze MandA and financing opportunitiesLead client meetings and drafting sessionsTransaction evaluation, preparation, due diligence, and execution of transactions; and managing the preparation of marketing materials including teasers, information memoranda, and other transaction-related documentationContribute to the creation of strategic frameworks, tools, and intellectual property to aid business development activities of the firmGather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, develop and communicate recommendations to senior leadershipIdentify improvements to processes and propose solutions to complete group tasks more efficientlyDemonstrate understanding of macro factors related to client sectors and investment banking and potential implicationsAct as lead “on the job” trainer for Associates and Analysts, articulating roles and objectives for junior team members and providing constructive feedbackShare relevant deal/client context with the junior team and provide motivation and guidance for the teamPreferred QualificationsMinimum of 7 years of investment banking or equivalent MandA experienceSignificant level of maturity and the ability to work as a team interfacing with top company executives and senior managementHighly organized project captain capable of managing high velocity processesEffective communicator – verbal, written, and virtualAgile leader that can exercise sound judgment under pressureCurious and resourceful business person with strong understanding of accounting and financeMature teammate with the ability to develop relationships with senior-level colleagues and clientsTeaching orientation with strong desire to mentor and train junior teammates – ability to be player-coach as neededExcellent analytical skills and attention to detailBasic QualificationsRequires a minimum of a Bachelor''s degreeCore modeling and valuation experience in professional settingWork LocationCurrently, this role is expected to be in the London office at least 4 days per week.About Us:Guggenheim Securities is the investment banking and capital markets business of Guggenheim Partners, a global investment and advisory firm.
