Experienced Social worker

Experienced Social workers required in Swindon''s family safeguarding service.

The team work within pods to optimise the management, oversight and support to all Social Workers. There are 5 Social Workers and 1 Manager per POD. Social Workers must have with experience and skill to:

• Undertake comprehensive assessments including parenting assessments in a timely way to inform development of outcome focused care plans with Children and their Families.
• Undertake care proceedings within the court, both private and public.
• Initiate and complete within court timescales and achieve permanency plans for children including adoption.
• Understand and respond to complexity of risks and are required to evidence on records, including providing analysis of their interventions with children and families.

Swindon Borough Council has confirmed that the -100 weekly travel and accommodation expenses will remain in place for all new and existing agency placements within Children''s Social Care until 10 May 2026. Workers must reside more than 50 miles from Swindon

Requirements as a Social Worker include:

• SWE Registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Drive and have access to a car
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
