Experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant Job Title: Experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant Location: Bexley Salary: £25,000+ (depending on experience) Contract: Full-time, Permanent We are looking for a dedicated Experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our primary school in Bexley, supporting children from EYFS to KS2 within our Additional Resource Provision. The Role: You will support children with SEMH or behavioural needs, helping them to access learning, regulate their emotions, and develop positive behaviour. Key responsibilities include: Using de-escalation techniques and a calm, firm but fair approach Delivering emotional regulation strategies and movement/sensory breaks Promoting positive behaviour and supporting social development Working closely with teachers, staff, and families to ensure consistency Skills and Experience: Experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills Ability to support emotional regulation and sensory/movement breaks Calm, firm but fair approach, promoting positive behaviour at all times Excellent communication and teamwork skills Why Join Us?
