We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced reception manager, to join our friendly, forward thinking practice team, to work 24 to 30 hours a week and provide a high quality service to our 11,300 patients. You will be required to work at Welling and Avery Hill.We are a GP training Practice (Bexley and Sidcup VTS).High QOF AchievementCQC Rating GOODIT : EMIS Web and Docman in use. Training can be arranged if not familiar with the system.Main duties of the job

You should have an excellent telephone manner and be able to multitask alongside the team. A knowledge in basic computer skills would be of benefit.You should have previous experience of working in a reception area.About us

We are a friendly, hardworking, organised team who would welcome you to join us.Clinical team : 3 Partners, 4 Pharmacist and have four Care Co-Ordinator''s. We currently have two GP trainee''s.Supported with allied health professionals including practice nurses and a Medical Assistant.Supportive staff and clinical team with opportunities to contribute in regular staff meetings.Job responsibilities

Duties andResponsibilities:Openingup/locking-up of Practice premises and maintaining security in accordancewith Practice protocolsMaintainingand monitoring the Practice appointments systemMakingpatients aware of the appointment booking procedureProcessingpersonal and telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephoneconsultations and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriatehealthcare professionalProcessingand distributing incoming (and outgoing) mailTakingmessages and passing on information accuratelyFilingand retrieving paperworkInitiatingcontact with and responding to requests from patients, other team membersand associated healthcare agencies and providersre-stock consulting rooms as requiredKeepingthe reception area, notice-boards and leaflet dispensers tidy and freefrom obstructions and clutterProcessingand recording information in accordance with Practice procedures following Data Protection.Providingclerical assistance including word/data processing, filing andphotocopyingPerson Specification

Qualifications

To have experience working in a busy reception area.Disclosure and Barring Service Check
