Location: Tooting SW17

Salary: £31,500 to £36,500

Contract: full-time, Permanent

 we are currently looking to recruit a Nursery Manager as soon as possible for our nursery in Tooting, which caters for children aged 0 to 2 years. to oversee daily operations within our childcare centre.

The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children and supporting their early development.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a team of staff, liaising with parents, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the nursery centre, including staff scheduling, resource allocation, and programme planning
• Lead and motivate a team of childcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and education
• Oversee the development and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood learning
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in accordance with legal requirements and best practices
• Maintain effective communication with parents, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns
• Monitor staff performance, organise ongoing training, and support professional development
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and early years legislation
• Manage administrative tasks such as record keeping, budgeting, and reporting to senior management
• Foster a positive organisational culture centred on teamwork, inclusivity, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Qualification L3 in Early Years (mandatory)
• Experience in childcare management approach (highly desirable)
• Proven management experience within a nursery or early childhood education setting
• Sound knowledge of Ofsted standards and requirements
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team
• Extensive knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Ability to organise workloads efficiently whilst maintaining attention to detail
• Passionate about child development with a caring attitude towards children’s needs
