Experienced Kitchen Porter – Temp to Perm Opportunity

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm
Pay: Competitive hourly rate + enhanced weekend rates
Position: Temporary to Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Kitchen Porter to join a busy catering operation based at a well-established and highly respected distribution site.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous kitchen porter experience who is looking for a long-term position with the opportunity to become a permanent member of the client’s team.

The Role

As a Kitchen Porter, you will play an important role in supporting the kitchen team and ensuring the catering operation runs smoothly and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Washing up and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen
• Keeping kitchen areas, equipment and utensils clean and organised
• Following all relevant food hygiene, health & safety and COSHH procedures
• Working efficiently as part of a busy team

Working Hours

The standard working hours are:

Monday to Friday – 7:00am to 3:00pm

There may also be opportunities to work weekends, which are paid at enhanced rates.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working as a Kitchen Porter in a busy kitchen environment
• Is reliable, hardworking and punctual
• Can work well under pressure
• Has a good understanding of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
• Is comfortable working as part of a team
• Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Is looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent
