Experienced General Machinist

An established engineering company based in Birmingham requires an experienced general machinist.

Duties:

• Perform manual operations such as drilling, tapping, boring, conventional milling and lathe work.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Check specification and accuracy of produced components using standard engineering measuring equipment. 

Requirements:

• Background in engineering with general machining experience. 
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• CNC machine setting and operating an advantage.
• Proficient in the use of engineering measuring equipment..

Hours:

• 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 1pm Friday.

This is a permanent position that starts immediately.
