Experience 7.5 ton Driver

Gotpeople is currently seeking a skilled and dependable 7.5-tonne Delivery Driver for ad hoc day deliveries based in Hatfield.

About the Role

As a 7.5-tonne Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe, punctual delivery of goods, providing outstanding customer service at all times. This role involves deliveries within and around London and requires manual handling. Occasionally, you may work as part of a two-person team.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently deliver goods to customers
• Assist with unloading goods as required
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and promptly report any defects
• Ensure all deliveries comply with company policies and procedures
• Maintain a consistently high standard of customer service when engaging with clients
• Adhere to all driver hours and road safety regulations
• Maintain clear and effective communication throughout the working day

Driver Requirements

• Valid 7.5-tonne (Category C1) licence
• Possession of a full CPC and digital tachograph card
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (excluding DR, DD, or IN endorsements)
• Comfortable with manual handling and lifting bulky items
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and punctual with delivery schedules
• Provision of appropriate PPE (high-visibility clothing and safety boots) is required

Pay & Benefits

• £15.00 per hour PAYE | £18.00 per hour PAYE via Umbrella
• Minimum of 8 hours guaranteed pay per shift
• Monday to Friday day shifts
• Free on-site parking
