At the iconic Athenaeum of 116 Piccadilly, Mayfair, youll be working with us to deliver to our famous five-star service while keeping our independent and unique spirit at heart.We have 162 rooms, including 18 townhouse residences, three meeting spaces, a bar and restaurant, featuring seasonal menus championing the very best local, sustainable produce and a decadent afternoon tea, were a lively place to work.Your leadership will be both people focused and commercial driven in taking complete ownership of the housekeeping operation at the Athenaeum. Responsible for a large team which includes a Head Housekeeper, Supervisors, Room Attendants, Linen Porters, Public Area Cleaners and a Night Cleaning Team. Youre fully accountable for the success of delivering our five-star standards for our guests.Person SpecificationA true housekeeping specialist with an in-depth knowledge of industry best practices and cleanliness standardsWealth of experience in leading a large, multi-disciplinary, housekeeping department in a five-star hotel environment.Excellent communication skills, you can share your thoughts in an engaging manner through different methods.Detail oriented, you notice the smallest thing out of place when walking into a room.Calm and collected under pressure, with the ability to prioritise and adaptYou tackle challenges with a solution focused mindset.Able to demonstrate leadership behaviours that convey confidence and command respect from others.Key ResponsibilitiesComplete 360-degree ownership of the housekeeping operationControl and analyse on an ongoing basis, departmental and energy costs, to ensure performance against budget particularly when sales are below expectation.Prepare and submit statistical information, issue performance and forecast reports, with appropriate analysis and insight, as necessary.Understand the impact of the departments operations on the overall property financial goals and objectives and manage to achieve or exceed budgeted goals and take action to achieve this.Monitor and control inventories for operating equipment, linen to ensure par stocks are maintained and costs are controlled.Consistently exceed external benchmarks such as AA, Forbes and mystery guest audits.Our PeopleThe Sutton Hotel Collection is a family-owned group, thus by extension, our people are our family.
