Lead Financial planning, budgeting and financial performance managementEnsure compliance with NHS financial governance and reporting standardsDrive efficiency, productivity and value for money across the TrustSupport major transformation programmes and capital investmentsAdvise the Board and Executive Team on financial strategy and riskDemonstrate a consistent track record in developing and delivering effective financial strategiesShow evidence of strong personal leadershipHave proven ability to foster a high-performing values-driven culturePossess extensive experience of successful cross-boundary working that will enhance the Trust''s reputation and service deliveryUnderstand the national and political landscape in which the NHS operates, including current and emerging challengesHave an excellent grasp of the financial and regulatory frameworks across the wider health sectorBring substantial experience at a senior level in a large organisationThis is a vital role at a time of substantial change to the way we work, offering the opportunity to make a valuable and lasting impact on our People, Patients and Population.About the Trust

To support this vision, we are (where appropriate and safe to do so) actively looking at new models of care which: better protect elective/planned care delivery by organising on a ''hot and cold'' basis; consider the optimal use of resources through consolidation and specialisation; and seek to reduce unwarranted variance, leveling up/standardising care through a ''Networked Service Solution'' across four sites. Although this post is hosted by Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, there may be an expectation to work flexibly across the four partner Trusts to better meet patient and service needs.
