Pelham has a reputation for excellence within the weeding and events industry, known for elegant spaces, captivating gardens, and exceptional service. This is a fantastic opportunity to help take charge of a busy, well-established site and work with a passionate, experienced team to deliver unforgettable events and outstanding results, and to develop the business strategy of those venues to further success alongside the Venue Operations Manager.The role:Description:

The Senior Events Manager combines the role of Events Manager with additional responsibilities to support and deputise for the Venue Operations Manager, and act as the most senior member of the operational team onsite in their absence.They must be a highly organised and creative individual that is responsible for planning and coordinating all aspects of weddings and events, from initial consultation to the final event delivery. A skilled hospitality professional who oversees a wide range of tasks, including client consultations, vendor management, budget creation, event design, logistical coordination, and on-the-day management of the food and drink service. They will possess excellent organisational and communication skills, providing guidance and support to clients from the point that they book through to wishing them a fond farewell as they leave after their event. They will have a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating memorable experiences that are meticulously planned and flawlessly executed. Additionally, they will train and mentor subordinate staff, and lead them to success, whilst also managing a range of venue and process tasks to best support the Venue Operations Manager.This list is broadly illustrative of the scope of responsibilities but is not exhaustive.Event planning:Client consultations to discuss their vision, budget, and preferencesUpselling, encouraging clients to upscale their initial plans and to purchase additional food and drink offersMenu and drinks package development including the creation of customised menus based on dietary restrictions, cultural preferences, and the overall theme.Develop comprehensive event timelinesAccurately record event detailsDraft client and internal planning documentsFloor plans, and seating arrangementsCollate and record relevant details and licenses for all supplier contractorsFinance and budgets:Create and manage detailed budgets for each eventSubmit invoice requests on timeEnsure all client payments are received according to the payment scheduleManage resources cost efficiently, staff, linen perishables etcOn the day event coordination:Oversee all aspects of the wedding day, ensuring everything runs smoothly from set-up to breakdownAdhere to the agreed time-planDesign and Décor,lay out clients personal and decorative items as instructedSupplier/Contractor Managementensure they comply with rules and regulationsStaff briefings to outline the service plan and salient detailsDirect and lead the service team throughout the eventGuest management, welcome guests, address any concerns, deliver key announcements, and ensure a smooth experienceEmergency preparedness, have a plan in place for unexpected situations, such as inclement weather or accidentsAccommodation check-ins, departures and reception requirementsPost-event follow-up to thank clients, vendors, and staffTeam Leadership and Management:Mentorship of the Events Managers and service staffTraining, induction and ongoing mentorship of events staffHealth and safety:Awareness of the company policies and procedures regarding safety complianceEnsure all safety measures are fully implemented for staff, guests and visitorsCarefully follow all allergen protocols when designing and executing the service planSupport:Working with Regional Operations Managers to assess standards, and improve staff performanceRecruitment and induction of events, accommodation, facilities and grounds staff, as requiredWork as part of the service waiting teamConduct showrounds of the venue with prospective clientsThis is a fantastic opportunity to take on a senior events role at a well-established venue, working for the leading wedding and events company in the UK.
