You'll play a key role in developing, planning, and delivering events that engage senior stakeholders from local authorities, government departments, private sector partners, and universities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Event Lead in planning and delivering two major business conferences.
- Develop creative concepts and ideas to engage diverse audiences.
- Manage event logistics, including:
- Sourcing reliable, cost-effective venues and suppliers
- Coordinating speaker management, briefings, and presentations
- Guest list management, invitations, and event communications
- Content curation, including presentation decks and itineraries
- On-the-day delivery, including registration, catering, and stakeholder liaison
- Build strong relationships across WMGC teams, partners, and stakeholders.
- Ensure events align with company policies, including procurement, risk management, and reporting.
- Provide on-site support at events, including outside standard working hours as needed (travel and occasional overnight stays may be required).
- Gather event data and feedback to support evaluation and continuous improvement.
Essential
- Minimum 3 years' experience in planning and delivering business events or conferences
- Strong creative thinking and ability to develop engaging event concepts
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- High attention to detail with strong organisational abilities
- Confident working with senior stakeholders in a multi-partner environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and event delivery processes
- Self-motivated, able to work under pressure, and manage multiple projects
Desirable
- Experience delivering events for public sector, business, or real estate audiences
- Proven track record working with high-profile individuals
- Confident networker with a creative, solutions-focused mindset
- Evidence of ongoing professional development in the events industry
