Event coordinators have an essential role in organising events and activities to involve people with our work.Our friendly team will provide you with training and support to develop in your role. By applying your skills and experience you can make a real difference and be a central part of a friendly and passionate charity.Events coordinators organise awareness raising activities, often with a fundraising aspect, to engage our supporters and encourage new ones.We’re ideally looking for volunteers with some experience in organising events. Running a variety of events and activities to engage our supporters and the general publicSupporting the marketing and promotion of events in the local areaHelping to deal with any enquiries or offers of helpPlanning and organising any required resources and suppliersSetting up on the day and tidying up afterwardsOverseeing the activities and supervising any helpersProviding a warm welcome and engaging people with our workEnsuring the necessary risk assessments are carried out and documentedLiaising with teams at National CPRE for joint initiativesThe skills you need

An interest in the countryside and environmental issuesSome experience of organising eventsA friendly and enthusiastic personalityGood organisational and communication skillsA flexible attitude and happy to volunteer outdoors at timesHappy carrying out tasks independently and as part of a teamAccess to a computer and the internet at home and be comfortable using themBe able to commit to volunteering regularly to suit your availability with occasional attendance at meetingsWhat''s in it for you
