We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Events Assistant to support the delivery of a diverse programme of events with a leading institution based in central Cambridge. As the Events Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring that all events run smoothly and to a high standard, acting as the first point of contact for event-related queries and managing the delegate registration process. You will coordinate catering and logistics, develop strong working relationships with internal teams, and provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team. This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.The assignment is to start as soon as possible and will run for approx. 3-6 months. This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours a week and may include some evening and weekend work. Main ResponsibilitiesEvent Management: Book venues, accommodation, and catering; prepare logistical plans; support events on the day; complete event documentation; handle confidential information. Delegate and Queries: Act as first contact for event queries; manage registrations, communications, and materials; track revenue for pay-to-attend events. Administration and Finance: Maintain Master Event Calendar; support invoicing and event costs; follow purchasing procedures and negotiate suppliers.
