We are a nationwide organisation with over 30,000 members across the UK who are now seeking an Events Administrator to join our existing team located at our Head Office in Farnham working as part of our wider operations team. The purpose of the role is to assist with the administration of a variety of events that take place across the UK. Reporting into the Events Manager and liaising with a range of internal departments and external 3rd parties. The role would suit candidates who have previous administration experience gained in a busy and varied administration role and who are now seeking the opportunity to further your career within an events based admin support role. You must have strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise your workload, have strong attention to detail and accuracy and work well under pressure. You must be confident and have good communication skills and enjoy liaising with a range of contacts to ensure both accurate and timely administration of the department workload.

Paying up to £28k, the working hours are 37.5 hours per week Mon to Fri with the potential for up to two days a week WFH once training is complete, with free parking, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas shut down, pension and a friendly and professional working environment. It is essential you drive and own a car as on occasion you may be required to attend some events.

Key responsibilities:
Reporting to the Events Manager, the role responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Responsible for the events inbox, and handling general customer service inquiries with relation to Events
• First line response to performance requests from outside organisations.
• Preparation of performance information for members, ensuring all relevant details are available. To include uploading performance letters and other requested documents to the members area and editing performance letters for the Leaders when needed.
• Publishing calendar entries.
• Attending some events, as necessary, to support Leaders and members.
• Supporting other members of the Events team with administrative tasks as directed. To include creating member or Leader comms, creating Google sign up forms, taking minutes during events meetings etc.
• Updating the in-house online shop, as and when needed, for ticket sales.
• Following correct procedure and GDPR guidelines at all times.
• Assisting with sourcing and booking events within leaderless areas.
• Helping to provide new Leaders training on how to use Event systems.
• Overseeing National Workshop events; setting up tickets on the shop, reporting sales to Leaders and the accounts team, sending comms, creating a timeline and keeping all departments updated etc.
• To oversee marketing requirements, including Leader requests for banners/flyers and team requests for lanyards/resources. This will involve liaising with external suppliers and our in-house social media team.

The successful candidate must be a car driver and will have experience working in a busy administration environment that involves managing your own workload. Any experience related to events would be welcomed but is not essential. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is required coupled with excellent communication skills over the phone, by email and in person. You must be a strong team player.

In return we can offer a salary up to £28k plus benefits, on site parking and some hybrid working hours working a 37.5 hour week Mon to Fri with some flexibility to start and finish times.
