About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organised and results-driven Interim Event Manager to oversee the retail food and beverage offering during Wakehurstandrsquo;s flagship annual light show. This is a hands-on, fixed-term role, ideal for an experienced event or retail professional with a strong background in operational delivery and multi-site food retail management.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the mobilisation and operational delivery of the retail Fandamp;B experience across multiple locations on-site during the event.
Manage all aspects of retail operations during the light show, ensuring a seamless visitor experience.
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure retail outlets are fully operational, well-stocked, and staffed.
Monitor performance and implement adjustments to improve efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene standards throughout the event.
About You:
Proven experience in event operations or food retail management, ideally in a cultural or visitor attraction setting.
Strong leadership and logistical planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple outlets simultaneously.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Available to start in late September and commit to the full 10-week period, including evenings and weekends during the event.
