Event Door Supervisor – Kent

Pace Protection & Training Ltd is recruiting professional and reliable SIA Licensed Event Door Supervisors to join our events team, working at a variety of events across Kent.

This is an ad hoc/casual position, with shifts offered based on client requirements and your availability. The role is ideal for experienced security professionals looking for flexible event work alongside other commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional and visible security presence at events.
  • Manage entry and exit points and control access to restricted areas.
  • Conduct searches where required and authorised.
  • Check tickets, passes and accreditation.
  • Support crowd management and maintain safe movement throughout venues.
  • Monitor attendee behaviour and identify potential risks or incidents.
  • Respond appropriately to conflict, disorder and challenging behaviour.
  • Use effective conflict-management and de-escalation techniques.
  • Support the safe removal of individuals where necessary and lawful.
  • Protect members of the public, staff, performers and event personnel.
  • Respond to emergencies in accordance with site procedures.
  • Report and escalate incidents promptly to supervisors or management.
  • Complete accurate incident reports when required.
  • Follow Assignment Instructions, risk assessments and client procedures.
  • Work professionally alongside event stewards, supervisors and other security personnel.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Professional, confident and approachable manner.
  • Strong communication and conflict-management skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and make sensible decisions under pressure.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and varying event hours.
  • Ability to travel reliably to event locations across Kent.
  • Willingness to complete required company/client training and site briefings.

Desirable

Previous experience in event security, festivals, sporting events, hospitality venues or crowd management is advantageous.

Relevant qualifications such as ACT Awareness, First Aid or Spectator Safety are also desirable.
