Reporting directly to the MD, this is a commercial-led opportunity that is perfect for an experienced sales and event professional looking to take the next step up or an experienced Event Manager / Director.Responsibilities

Define the sales and strategy plan for the new launch event, strengthening sales and services and client excellence – including identification of key commercial objectives, strategy, tactics, potential risks, industry opportunities and measurable KPIsUphold accurate and regular tracking, trend identification and trimming of department model to drive greater efficiencies, smarter working practices and effective resource allocation where requiredProduce and monitor financial forecasting, billing and processes, including firm control of department spend and reconciliationReview pricing policies and suggest ideas that drive higher revenueTake the lead role in developing their value-proposition for the ExpoSuggest new ideas and technical innovations that improve the propositionLiaise with Marketing Team to develop the visitor proposition and increase visitor trafficWork with their Head of Content to ensure a strong content proposition is deliveredWork with Operations Director to ensure operational expenditure is in line with budgetAttend exhibitions (UK and International) to help generate revenue, promote the site and conduct interviewsProactively look for new/smarter ways to improve department processes and procedures to deliver a faster, more efficient service to clientsShow a driven, revenue-first and hands-on management style that guides best practice, raises performance and delivers against the company valuesCommunicate regularly with the wider team to keep them updated on strategic and tactical department news, developments and results (weekly meetings)Manage a small sales teamProfile of Candidate Required
