- The business has built a strong reputation for quality workmanship, reliability, and long-term client relationships.
- Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Estimator / Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, tenders, and quotations for prospective projects.
- Measure quantities from construction drawings and project specifications.
- Conduct site surveys and attend pre-tender and project meetings.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders throughout the tender process.
- Obtain, review, and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Assist with cost planning, budgeting, and commercial assessments.
- Support projects from tender stage through to successful handover.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to project costs and estimates.
- Monitor project requirements and identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or Estimator/Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of drylining, floor screeding, or related interior fit-out packages.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Good understanding of commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence preferred due to site visit requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant estimating software.
