About the Client

  • Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Estimator / Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, tenders, and quotations for prospective projects.
  • Measure quantities from construction drawings and project specifications.
  • Conduct site surveys and attend pre-tender and project meetings.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders throughout the tender process.
  • Obtain, review, and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  • Assist with cost planning, budgeting, and commercial assessments.
  • Support projects from tender stage through to successful handover.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to project costs and estimates.
  • Monitor project requirements and identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or Estimator/Surveyor within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of drylining, floor screeding, or related interior fit-out packages.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Good understanding of commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred due to site visit requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant estimating software.
