Base: Flexibility to work from any of the following offices - Stoke on Trent Head office, Warrington, Burton or Birmingham. Hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home, 08:30 – 17:00, Monday – Friday.

As an Estimator or Senior Estimator, you will collaborate with the Bid and Operational teams to produce accurate and competitive pricing for tenders for new and existing clients, within a Social Housing Refurbishment environment. Our team works across regions, providing variety and opportunities to engage with various clients.

Responsibilities

Undertake the preparation and processing of quotations, bids and tenders

Prepare supplier and sub-contractor enquiries, scrutinise quotations and undertake the selection process

Produce quantities for building works to assist pricing

Assess material, labour and plant requirements for tenders

Produce breakdowns, substantiation and undertake value engineering to meet client budgets

Liaise with Operational Offices, Architects, Engineers, Sub-contractors, Suppliers and Clients to establish project specifications, preliminary requirements, risk provisions and exclusions

Attend and contribute to meetings with colleagues and clients as required

Assess commercial and operational risks associated with tenders

Measuring jobs from inception using SMM7 or NRM

About YouYou will have experience as an Estimator/Senior Estimator within a Social Housing Refurbishment environment, with knowledge of pricing from first principles and cost planning. Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. You should be comfortable pricing large-scale projects and managing multiple smaller jobs, with experience using Causeway or similar estimating software.
