Estimator - UK Wide Contract: Freelance Day Rate: Negotiable depending on experienceWe''re working with one of the UK''s leading specialist construction and engineering contractors looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Estimator to support its growing pipeline of work.This is a business delivering some of the UK''s most technically challenging construction and infrastructure projects, with expertise spanning major structures, reinforced concrete, structural steel, civil engineering and complex works within highly regulated and operationally sensitive environments.With projects across national infrastructure, clean energy and the built environment, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator who enjoys getting involved in complex tenders and wants the flexibility of a freelance position that can be based anywhere in the UK.The RoleYou''ll work closely with the pre-construction, commercial, engineering and operational teams to develop accurate, competitive and commercially robust tenders.Your responsibilities will include:Preparing detailed estimates and tenders from first principlesReviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentationDeveloping competitive tender strategies and commercially viable solutionsPreparing subcontract and supplier enquiry packagesObtaining and analysing quotations from the supply chainIdentifying commercial risks and opportunities within tendersChallenging design and construction methodologies to identify ..... full job details .....
