Estimator - Social Housing

As Estimator, you will play a key role within the pre-construction and commercial team, responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and commercially sound cost estimates and tender submissions. You will work closely with operational, commercial, and bid teams to develop winning submissions for planned maintenance, retrofit, and energy efficiency programmes.Client DetailsOur client is a market leader in delivering decarbonisation/retrofit and planned refurbishment works across the UK social housing sector. Due to continued growth in their North East division they are seeking an experienced Estimator to support the pricing and tendering of new business opportunities within the social housing sector.Description Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender pricing for social housing refurbishment or retrofit schemesReview tender documentation, specifications, drawings, and schedules of worksUndertake quantity take offs and pricing exercises using NHF Schedule of Rates and bespoke pricing modelsObtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotationsCollaborate with bid, operational, and commercial teams to develop competitive tender submissionsAssess project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutionsSupport bid clarifications and client negotiations throughout tender stagesMaintain strong knowledge of market conditions, labour, and material costsEnsure tenders are completed accurately and submitted within required deadlines Profile Proven estimating or quantity ..... full job details .....
