Estimator Civils and UtilitiesLocation: Barnsley, South Yorkshire (office-based with flexibility to work from home)Salary: £40,000 £60,000 per annumBenefits: Company vehicle or car allowance, 26 days holiday, healthcare, annual bonus, pensionAbout the OpportunityWe are working with a reputable civil engineering contractor delivering projects across infrastructure, utilities, substations and renewable energy sectors.As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their pre-construction team based in Barnsley.This is a full-time, primarily office-based role with flexibility to work from home, offering the chance to be involved in a wide range of projects and play a key role in securing new business.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for civils and utilities projectsReview drawings, specifications and technical documentation to build accurate pricingSource and assess subcontractor and supplier quotationsIdentify risks, opportunities and value engineering options within tendersCollaborate with internal teams to develop competitive and compliant submissionsAttend tender meetings and liaise with clients where requiredMaintain strong relationships with supply chain and key stakeholdersEnsure all tenders are submitted accurately and within deadlinesSupport handover of successful bids to delivery teamsRequirementsMinimum 3 years experience as an Estimator within civils, utilities, groundworks or ..... full job details .....
