Job Title: Estimator / Procurement Specialist
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Leicestershire (Onsite)
Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 DOE + Company Car/Allowance

The Procurement & Supply Chain division at SF Partners are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing construction business looking to strengthen its Pre-Construction team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative environment where you''ll play a key role in delivering competitive tenders across a diverse range of construction projects.

Working closely with the wider commercial and pre-construction teams, you''ll be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates, engaging with subcontractors and suppliers, and ensuring high-quality tender submissions are delivered within tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare competitive cost estimates and tender submissions for construction and refurbishment projects.
- Review tender documentation to identify procurement requirements, subcontract packages and material specifications.
- Source pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, managing the tender enquiry process from issue through to evaluation.
- Assess and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure best value and commercial accuracy.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to support future tender opportunities.
- Produce accurate take-offs and first-principle costings where required.
- Identify pricing gaps and develop practical commercial solutions.
- Prepare tender qualifications, exclusions and supporting cost documentation.
- Assist with project programmes, preliminary costings and procurement planning.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure tender deadlines are achieved.
- Attend occasional site visits across the UK as part of the tender process.


Experience & Skills Required
- Previous experience within Estimating, Procurement, Commercial or Pre-Construction roles within the construction industry.
- Strong procurement and supplier management experience, including obtaining and evaluating quotations.
- Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to interpret technical and tender documentation.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and work effectively to deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally.
