Estimator / Pre-Construction Manager

Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Pre-Construction Manager / Mechanical Estimator to support a growing pipeline of opportunities across the business.This is a key appointment for someone with a strong mechanical and HVAC background who can take an opportunity from the initial enquiry and turn it into a technically sound, commercially competitive and clearly scoped proposal.You''ll be comfortable working with projects from a blank sheet, understanding what the client is looking to achieve, developing the mechanical solution and establishing exactly what is required to deliver the works.The RoleWorking across the pre-construction and tender stages, you''ll take ownership of opportunities before they are handed across to the project delivery team.Responsibilities will include:Reviewing new enquiries, specifications and tender documentationDeveloping scopes of work for mechanical and HVAC projectsProducing detailed and accurate estimatesWorking on Design and Build opportunities from an early concept stageUnderstanding client requirements and developing suitable technical solutionsReviewing drawings, specifications and other technical informationCarrying out take-offs and building up project costsObtaining and reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotationsIdentifying exclusions, qualifications, risks and opportunitiesPreparing tender submissions and commercial proposalsWorking closely with clients, suppliers and the internal project teamSupporting the handover of ..... full job details .....
